Hello Bayou Vista residents. The Saconas family developed Original Bayou Vista, Bayou Vista and Omega Bay. As many of you know, Ed Saconas passed away last year. At the June regularly scheduled meeting the city council voted to name the property between Bonita and Redfish “Saconas Park”. In addition to this, we are raising money thru the Saltwater Garden club to erect a gazebo in memorial of Ed Saconas to be built on this property. We are selling brick pavers for $100 as a fundraising effort to help fund the project at no cost to our taxpayers. If you would like to purchase a paver in honor of someone or something please see Stephanie Laws at city hall. Unfortunately payment can only be received by cash or check at this time. She has the order forms and there is an EIN number through the garden club if you choose to write off the donation on your taxes. There is no limit on how many pavers you can purchase. If you choose not to purchase a paver but would like to make a financial contribution to the project those will be accepted as well and a plaque will be placed in your honor inside the gazebo. Thank you in advance for participation in helping beautify Bayou Vista!
Best regards,
Mayor Danny Rambin
