TRAFFIC ALERT: Expect major delays on I-45 southbound this weekend near the Texas City Wye.
TxDOT will close TWO southbound mainlanes between FM 519 and SH 6/SH 146 beginning Saturday, Oct. 3 at 9 p.m. through Monday, Oct. 5 at 5 a.m.
Crews will shift traffic onto new pavement as part of the ongoing I-45 Gulf Freeway construction project.
If you’re heading toward Texas City or Galveston this weekend, plan ahead and give yourself extra time.
