I am so sad. But, I am hoping some BV/Omega folks will step up. I just spent 3 hours picking up trash on the northbound lane feeder road I-45. I drive by all of the time and think "How sad.! So much littering!" So why not be a solution versus the problem!?? I don't mind doing this - picking up trash. Calorie burner but geez!!!! The amount of fishing line and trash was appalling! So, here is the challenge... is anyone up for Bayou Vista/Omega Bay in adopting the I-45 area(north and south)???? I will do the adopting work.. Probably every 2 months. We'd be saving wildlif AND making our precious BV/Omega Bay better, AND We would get a sign!!

There is a highway sign on I-45 SB that says highway adopted by Moody National Bank. It is located after #7 off ramp around/across from the OB entrance. Not sure about NB, but one would assume. I always carry trash bags in my vehicle, I can't stand littering either.
Thank you for picking up the trash. Don't Mess With Texas!

I really like this idea and I want to participate. How many people are needed? How long does the adoption process take? Let me know if I can help with the application. There will construction coming first of the year but the feeders will just accumulate more trash during that period so seems like a good time to start.
