MUD 12 Resignation Petition

There is a petition circulating in the MUD district asking for the resignation of Richard Matthews and Roy Menotti. There are several people with copies who will come to you if you cannot attend one of the drive thru events at the parking lot by Bayou Bistro. |
If you do not know why this drastic measure is necessary, please read one of the abuses of office that these directors are committing:
Texas Water Code sec. 49.060 sets an annual amt. of $7200 for defined performance of duties, not for routine, ministerial or duties of short term. The two directors in question are about to max. out on the annual amt. and their "Verified Statement" lists many claims for the prohibited, full day's worth of "duties". Richard Matthews has claimed $750 in four different months and a total $6,300 thus far this budget year.
Roy Menotti has claimed $1,050 in 02/2020 and $900 in 05/2020 and $750 in both June and August and a total of $6,300 thus far this budget year.
Nice cottage industry. One month to go and they will collect exactly the max. allowed. Other directors charge $150 per workshop, monthly board meeting and/or town hall. The majority of their monthly charges are $150 and they do sign checks, meet with plant operators, and many other routine duties.
There are numerous reasons that these directors need to resign. Those reasons have been verified and shared with rate payers who are now extremely distressed by the the greed and lack of integrity of these directors. Their actions cannot be justified.
