Keep your head on a swivel and watch out for the folks at the end of the canal on Tarpon! Someone tried to hit, hurt, or kill us last night around 11pm from the dock. As I was tying a new line while idling towards Louis, meanwhile every bit of 50-75 yards from the shoreline, we were shocked by a crazy loud bang and something hitting my boat. I looked up to see someone from the dock had casted at us with a huge hook and 1 ounce weight. The weight and hook landed in my boat, about 2 feet from myself and the hook caught on my boat. I cut it and went on my way trying to think of why these people where trying to hurt us unprovoked? At the time we weren’t sure if this was TPWD issue or local police. We have contacted the police but the owner of the house is denying this happening. Two nights earlier I had my daughter and her friend with me. If they would have been hurt by this idiot there would have been much worse problems for all of us. Please realize fisherman live here in this neighborhood and we aren’t trying to break or steal your stuff. Just fishing and enjoying the water that is NOT yours! image upload
Jeremiah, It does look like one of the big hooks from a drum rig. Call me or come on over sometime today after 10am and let me have a look. Mark - 409-935-9544
