Drainage

I walk the roads of this fine community almost everyday. For 6 years now I’ve seen the culverts around the MUD building and police department disappear , you can’t even see the culverts anymore in several places on Neptune. They have grown over with grass and no way they can flow water through them. Are our city workers or whoever is in charge just ignoring this cause we do get rains and storms and they are 100% plugged up? Surely I’m not the only one that’s noticed this problem. If I wasn’t a old toot I’d take a sharp shooter and clean them out myself. I’ll be watching to see if someone steps up and takes care of this problem. Thank You to the people who correct this. Drainage falls under the preview of MUD12. I've seen the same thing not to mention the mud covered sidewalks.

You need to contact the city. The city is responsible for drainage. The city owns all of the property between the sidewalk and the road including the sidewalk. This was settled after Hurricane IKE when the city took the money for the roads.

Thanks! This is good info. I'm sure the lighted LED sign in front of city hall is the city's responsibility also. It hasn't been working correctly since about Thanksgiving 2020. Social distancing required and since there is a big crowd gathered around the post most of the time? the tech couldn't comply with CDC COVID-19 recommendations. Hopefully now that the Governor has relaxed the requirements corrective measures will be taken to repair the sign so that it displays un-fragmented information on the southeast side. City maintenance are you reading?
