If you arent a strong swimmer and youre in a boat, put a life jacket on.
This is a sad story that did not have to happen. Its also a story Ive heard way too many times before

ALWAYS!!! have enough life jackets for everyone. If a boat is sinking stay with it as most all have built in floatation and will not completely sink. A partiatly, or even mostly, submerged boat is easier to find than a person.
