Police Captain Pete Contenta

It is with a very heavy heart that I make this post regarding the passing of our Bayou Vista Police Captain- Pete Contenta. Pete was one of our BV police officers for several years and served this community with the greatest of honor, bravery, and dignity. Pete was extremely friendly, always taking time to talk with neighbors, and yet, was never afraid to protect us from those that wished us harm. He was brave, humble, and steady and will be missed dearly by everyone that had the pleasure of knowing him. |
Services will be held at Carnes Funeral Home in Texas City on Wednesday Sept 8 at 3:00 p.m. There will also be a reception at the BV MUD building at 6:00 that afternoon. His wife Donna, and Daughter Jenna would love to meet all of his friends, so feel free to come by and say hello. For more detailed information you can go to the Carnes Funeral Home website https://obit.carnesfuneralhome.com/peter-anthony-contenta-jr
For those that cannot attend the service, it will be available online, starting about 10 minutes prior to spiritual service start time (no account required): https://www.facebook.com/.../Carnes.../100057327676573/
Instead of flowers, the family has requested that a donation be made to the Wounded Warriors Foundation in the name of Pete Contenta.
You will be missed my dear friend, but your legacy of integrity and conviction will live on through us. From a grateful community- We thank you!
