Python sighting

Hey folks, My wife informed me that she saw a small python on our porch about 4:30 -5:a.m. this morning. However I cannot verify this as she did not take pictures. I did not see the python. This was about halfway down Redfish. Just a heads up for you folks that have small animals.

False alarm folks: I misunderstood what my wife said. She said she saw a possum not a python. Sorry for the confusion.

Reminds me of SNL skits with Emily Litella a fictional character created and performed by comedian Gilda Radner in a series of appearances on Saturday Night Live. ... The running gag "Never mind" became a lighthearted.

Are we being over-run by possums? I caught one in my house last week. About half grown and cute, I took him to the woods and turned him loose.

I wouldn't say overrun but during and after Nicholas there were reports of several, including one little fellow that took shelter in my neighbor's patio bar area. Pet and duck food and garbage may make it easy for the little ones to find food and they are now content to stay in the neighborhood. Grown ones aren't so cute and can be destructive.

Did she see what color and approximate size so we can be on the lookout to spot it? I’m not far from you. Scary situation for smaller dogs in the yard if he’s big enough or keeps growing without being caught.

LOL, I thought BV was going full Florida Everglades for a minute. Glad I kept my mouth shut. My wife woulda never let the danged dog outside alone again !

Possums are immune to snake bites and they will kill and eat them. Good to have around.
