The partial phase of the eclipse will began at 9:28 p.m. CDT. During this phase, it will look like a bite has been taken out of the moon.
The total eclipse starts at 10:29 p.m. CDT and continues through 11:54 p.m. CDT. This is when the entire moon will take on a reddish hue, caused by light left over from all the sunsets and sunrises occurring at that time.
The moon will then reenter a partial phase that lasts through 12:55 a.m. CDT. (from the Houston Chronicle)
