I’m sure you’ve seen the signs in the neighborhood. I want to give a shout out to Philip at Empire Industrial Services for helping us with our bird issues. He does solid work and offers a good long term solution. Feel free to shoot me a PM if you would like to come by and see his work first hand. We have a recently built house on Ling.
OK, here is a FREE solution to birds in your boathouse. Most birds that roost in your boathouse are pigeons or collared doves (invasive species). Here is the way to deal with them: things you need, a very bright flashlight and a hose at the boathouse, you need to keep a keen watch in the evening to see the bids go to roost. Give them a little while to settle down, after dark is best. Go quietly and stealthily to the boathouse with flashlight in hand, quietly pick up the hose (should be already turned on). Locate the birds and flash them with the light, shine it on the birds and all around and at the same time scoot them with the hose and don't stoop till they have all gone to someone else's boathouse. They will never come back. This method does not cost anything it is free and also FUN.
I appreciate that someone is working for a living but can he just put one sign at the entrance to Bayou Vista and not on every street? It's an eyesore, not to mention the city has ordinance's about it.

I couldn't agree more about too many signs and giving credit for people working hard to make a living.

If you want the signs to work you will need to teach the Pigeons to read.
