Bridge Maintenance

We all know the bridge is here to stay...no need to argue that point.
With that said, I thought in years past that the Bayou Vista Fishing Club, upon contributions from the neighborhood, would perform maintenance on the inside of the bridge? Very thankful they did!!!

If that was/is the case, where can we donate ((time and money)) to ensure the bridge is navigable again? The damage is so bad that some of us wider boats cannot get through.

Noticed the other day that she's beat up pretty good.

I'm willing to donate both $$$ and time to assist.

Any takers?????

We don't need money we need volunteers. For the past number of years a few of the BFVC members have done all the repairs, well were all older now and we need new younger people to step up. Were looking at having a meeting in January to discuss the 2023 tournament and possible bridge work. So talk with your freinds and see who actually is willing to get involved.

we also need a barge to work off of.a old pontoon with a flat deck like the bulkhead guys use would be great.

Ok. I do have access to a work boat and some young bucks to help out.

I do not expect the BVFC to pay for the material. Is there some way (Venmo)???? that we can take donations for material? How can we get the message more widespread for additional donations and labor if needed?

There are a ton of people and boats that would benefit, and I'm sure there are many homeowners who are willing to donate, just need to get the message out there.

Not sure of the construction methods that were used, however, let's build it back better.

We have funds for materials, what we need is volunteers. WE will need to completley strip the old and replace, would probably take 2 weekends.
