After viewing with their own eyes, day after day, the progress that is happening in Bayou Vista it is rather surprising that two middle-aged white guys would even think it made sense to challenge Paula for the job of Mayor. I believe that I first met Paula as she presided over a council meeting as City Secretary in 2007. It’s not really important which day or time. I knew immediately that we were to be friends. Her approach from day-one was friendly, all business, straight forward and to the point and she remains the same to this day. Anyone who brings her a problem situation will know quickly that she is determined to be helpful in reducing their issue and they will also know that it will be handled within the framework of the rules and laws governing the situation. She doesn’t mince words and covers the pluses and minuses that you can expect on the journey to a solution to the problem. This is business as-usual, everyday. The pool, the community center, the parking lot, many street repairs, and many other lesser things all refurbished without fanfare. I rest my case!
