Ray Stone About Me. Running for Mayor of Bayou Vista I have six years of experience as a Marine, where I led 65 Marines in my platoon since I was 18 years old. I managed various deployments and disaster relief operations around the world, such as fires, volcanic eruptions, typhoons, and earthquakes. I also managed the logistics of personnel and resources. I started my own business in California after my military service and sold it when I created innovative technology and launched a new business based on the technology. Global Pacific Worldwide Wireless bought that business, and they gave me the job of Vice President of research and development. Opened a third company and owned and managed that for over 15 years, with around fifteen employees. After selling that company, I returned to Texas, where I planned to retire, but I felt too young and restless. I resumed work with Microsoft Clients, where I soon became a team leader and an expert in my technology. During the years of owning my own businesses I also was: As a founding member and leader for two years of the Buena Park Junior Chamber of Commerce, I ranked third among Presidents in California. Participated in multiple board of directors. After returning to Texas, I have served as the 2nd Vice Commander for two different American Legions and fundraised thousands of dollars for Veterans. I certainly respect the opinion of Carrie Worhtam and it sounds like Ray Stone certainly has a great deal of credentials. However, I do not read what he intends to accomplish if he were elected mayor. On the other hand, his opponent (Paula Eshelman) followed thru on her campaign statements the first time around and I will vote for her again based upon that alone. Finally, a politician who actually does what they promise to do. Mr. Stone may make a great mayor, but he chose the wrong person to run against. Just my opinion.
I have not indicated that any of the candidate statements I have post are anything other than information from Face Book and posted at the candidates requests. I have done so for all except one who is running unopposed and the incumbent. and neither of them made that request.
