I’ve been left with no other choice. BEWARE!! For the sake of all of you senior citizens that may need a handyman. I want to make you aware of a local handyman, Dale Hudgins, who is taking advantage (that's a nice way of saying RIPPING OFF) of his elderly neighbors. I hired Dale Hudgins (Improvements by Dale) on December 18, 2023 to do some work around my house in Bayou Vista. It is now May 19, 2024 and he has not completed the job. I have sent 6 different messages to him about completing the job. One reply was he had the flu, one reply was he had to go out of town and the last 4 messages had NO reply from him. I paid him 2,000.00 up front-I know- but he has done work on my house over the years and I thought Dale was a man of his word. I still can’t believe that the “no money upfront company “ would take 2,000.00 up front from a 70 year old widow and not complete the job. I have talked to the police in Bayou Vista about this. I also filed a report in small claims court, which Dale did not respond to. All that being said, I need someone to complete the job. Soffit and fascia repairs are needed. Tim Williamson has been a handyman in BV for many years and does very good work at fair prices. I have had him do many projects for me and been happy with everything he has done. His number is 409-295-0419. He has numerous references.

Ann, I am very sorry to hear about your bad experience with your crooked handyman DALE HUDGINS dba = Improvements by Dale. This should never be allowed to happens and I hope you are successful in SMALL CLAIMS COURT. I have two handymen that I am recommending DAVID HOWARD #281-684-3791 and TIM WILLIAMSON (garden muscle) #409-295-0419. They have both completed multi jobs for me and the quality of the work and price have been outstanding. YOU WON"T BE DISAPPOINTED. DOC STOKES

Thank you so much for your response. I was overwhelmed with responses yesterday and a contractor was at my house early this morning. If that doesn’t work out, I’ll contact your guys.
