Windstorm Cost

We have just paid the "bill" for windstorm for the year at over $3800. We are curious as to others in BV are paying more or less about the same amount. We are on Bonita, near the RR tracks.

Check what TWIA has as the coverage cost of your home. Mine was too high, so my insurance agent was able to amend. Also, check the % deductible which can also be changed & make sure it's not high enough to make deductible crazy high when you have a claim.

Or increase the deductible to reduce the premium and invest the savings. You may never have a claim or you may have one claim in a decade. The invested savings should be larger than the deductible.

Shop around, we pay much less with Comiskey Capital Ins. Agency Inc. at (409) 935-0086, a Safeco independent agency, in Tiki Island.

I pay $2,163 for $478k structure plus other coverage
