Tree Lighting

The tree lighting will be when the last golf cart passes and Santa gets to the tree. So probably between 615 or 630 or so

That does not make sense to me.
Seems it would be very nice if the folks who put in the effort to decorate their carts would be able to see the Christmas tree already lit when they drive by.
The golf cart parade is going to Omega Bay and will not be returning on that same route.

Sigrun- I am just following what they having been doing since I lived here. I lived here 10 years. I may change next year not sure.

It's hard to do two things at once, multi-taskers notwithstanding

I think Sigrun makes a valid point, but perhaps of equal or greater value might be participating in the events of the lighting, particularly for the kids on the carts, like caroling, Santa, gifts, refreshments, and the ever lovely Grinch!!!
Maybe start the parade after the events on the ground.
Something to think about for the future.

So how and where to stage the parade must be thought out carefully
