🚧 FM 1765 Construction Update (TxDOT) 🚧 The City of La Marque has received an update from TxDOT regarding ongoing construction on FM 1765. What was originally expected to be a 3-month detour has now extended to nearly 5 months due to weather delays and an unresolved utility conflict. At this time, there is no estimated completion date. 📅 New Closure Begins: Wednesday, June 10: The east side of FM 1765 will be closed Westbound FM 1765 remains open with access to the Northbound Frontage Road (NBFR) FM 1765 under IH 45 remains closed due to elevation differences between new and existing pavement TxDOT and its contractor are currently waiting on a utility relocation before work can move forward. Please plan ahead, follow posted detours, and allow extra travel time. We will continue to share updates as they become available.

Youare being very optomistic, we'll be living on Mars before they finish. TxDOT is inept, they are more intrested in their job preservation than actually getting things done.
