There's a roundabout about 200m from here which marks the start of the town and one of the feeder roads into it is about 2 miles dead straight. If you misjudge your entry speed into the roundabout your exit is roughly straight through a brick wall and onto someones patio. It's happened three times in recent years (two drunks and a heart attack) and while not quite as dramatic as Jerry's picture the sight of the rear end of a car stuck through a wall for a couple of weeks while they sort the paperwork out is not unusual. I noticed that shortly after the last hole was fixed a 'for sale' board went up - can't say I blame them.
And it's not alone - there's two or three other houses that regularly have unexpected vehicular visitors in the area and a couple more where it's been more luck than judgement (holes in the hedges either side).
