Probably a combination of all of those Will. But would you expect the traction control of a lowish state of tune middle weight twin to be kicking in on dry roads in a straight line with the bike upright to stop the rear spinning up ? The general crapness of the Sport Daemons raised comment in most road tests of the the V7 Classic III & they have fully lived down to Mrs B's expectations. They are not going to be around for much longer !
Personally I loath Michelin tyres of any description - the two car accidents I have had were with Michelin tyres on wet roads & the Macadams that came on my ST2 & Mrs B's second VTR1000 were dismal. Way too hard, very long warm-up times & unpredicatable grip - a tyre with no redeeming features & we were both glad to see an early change to Road Attacks.
Yet to have a poor experience with Continentals, which are my "go to" make if they have a suitable fitment - which they do for the Guzzi but don't (yet) for the RE. But as the Phantom Sportscomps are working well for me, I'll probably stick with them for now.
