Did 174 miles in the end - up in to North Yorkshire via the less popular routes around Settle / Hawes / Leyburn / Bedale, with an ice cream stop in Ripon before home via Harrogate. Filled up just after leaving home & again just before returning, with the RE using 9.74 litres (81 mpg) & Mrs B's V7 Special using a litre and a half or so more (70 mpg) - she says she rides harder being "Tail End Charlie" ! Probably just as much to to with it's high top gear, which can't really be engaged much under 60, so doesn't get used much on those kind of roads. She did report that the MG's handling has been much improved with the Continental Road Attack 3s fitted last weekend - the RE didn't feel much different with the new rear.
Th weather was pretty much as forecast - overcast to start, getting more sunny as the day progressed & low 20s and sunny by the time we got home around 5.30.
Also pretty knackered today, as I also did 117 miles on a new Bullet demonstrator while the Interecptor got it's new tyre on Friday - but more on that later.
