And how does the B120 sit with that rule ?
I have a roughly 100 mile a day round trip commute to work, mainly motorway, so am all too well aware of modern motoring "techniques". I don't use the bike to commute - just too much like hard work & I know I will come off worst if anything goes pear-shaped. For leisure motorcycling, I try to choose the routes that others don't and, in general, those end up being minor country roads that are not really suitable for exercising a performance bike. Quite agree that a surplus of performance can be hand to swiftly despatch a loitering car/van/tractor, but it isn't the be-all and end-all for me - hence choosing the Interceptor, which is actually lower performance (but more fun) than the NC750S it replaced.
On the kinds of roads I tend to seek out for the bike these days, the gentle performance of a Bullet can be just as enjoyable (possibly more so) than a higher performance bike. But to each his (or her) own.
