>Somone managed to get hold of my debit card details a while back - l noticed some transactions that I never made on my statement and the bank refunded it all.
>Thing is that I never leave my credit card details on any website / purchaser
>only thing I can put it down to is when I tried to buy something on the web (secure site) when I pressed "pay now" an odd dialogue box appeared stating that the transaction had failed
Doesn't have to be a website; last time a fraudster tried to use my debit card details was traced to the (then) BP filling station at the M4 Reading services, bank told me it was regular there.
>3 fraudleunt transactiosn were made and I contacted all 3 companies with the details
>due to data protection they would not tell me anything
No-one will over the 'phone. If you're interested enough, you just contact the Data Protection Registrar for the name and official address of the person at each company who is legally-responsible for the data the company holds; send that person the standard form letter requesting a copy of all data the company holds on you; by definition, this must include the delivery addresses of all orders 'you' placed?
