We were out yesterday, riding around North Yorkshire. Stamford Bridge is a bottleneck at the best of times & more so on a sunny weekend. So an "unknown" side road was taken to bypass the town (and offending single track bridge). Turned out to be a nice, lightly used country road that eventually came out in Norton, near Malton. A right turn towards Driffield brought us out on the road we were intending to take - a few miles more, but pleasant riding and better than queing in traffic.
240 miles covered, made more comfortable by having fitted a pair of aftermarket handlebar risers to the Interceptor on Friday. I did not expect that a movement of the bars by an inch upwards & an inch rearwards would have made such a difference to comfort - definately an improvement. Just need to get the seat improved now - that was one area that did get rather trying after 6 or so hours using it.
