One particular day delivering to the site, I noticed a car being driven slowly towards the lorry. By the time I'd finished, the car was in front of the lorry, the driver clearly expecting me to reverse. As I knew the road, I knew I'd have to reverse some distance, whereas the car driver has passed a couple of places she could've pulled into and waited.
So I indicated she should reverse to the nearest passing place. As I say, dead-straight road she'd just driven down ... so she turned the wheel fully to her left and reversed into the bank at the side of the road ...
As I wanted to finish work sometime that day, I climbed out of the lorry, walked over to the car and asked the driver if she'd like me to reverse her car ... she agreed.
