At about £3500 the Benelli seems very good value.
I have not seen the Benellis in the flesh and both the nearest dealers to me are 20ish miles away (in opposite directions) so not a 2 minute job to go and pore over one (presuming they have stock on site).
They are imported by MotoGB, the same importer as Royal Enfield. Not a particularly good start as MotoGB have not been too impressive with the RE.
Tests of the Imperiale 400 (which I guess from the ex-works price quoted is the one meant - they are £3700 OTR) seem generally complimetary but a couple of things seem to be regularly mentioned :
The suspension is harsh & the rear only has 55mm of travel.
The brakes are wooden & lack feel.
The OE tyres are not great.
They are heavy (heavier than an Interceptor 650 with less than half the umph).
They look nice in the pictures, though.
They have been available in India as a competitor to the RE Bullets for a year or more & they don't seem to be making great inroads into that market. Comparison tests with the Classic Bullet & the Mahindra made Jawas don't seem to be overly keen on the Benelli. Have a root around on YouTube - the tests produced by the larger outfits are generally in English (my Hindi & Tamil are not great ! ).
