I was dreading surgery when I needed my clavicle plating when I had my accident, having said that everyone was so re assuring, when I was finally wheeled off to have the job done I was not worried at all.

And once the "milk of amnesia" (as the anaesthetist called it) was administered I knew nothing until I came round.

It also helped that the anaesthetist was also a biker - as I drifted off we were having a bike related conversation !!
