What was his name?

I was in the Security Police K-9 division in the Air Force stationed in northern Italy. First one I had was a sentry dog named Baldur (501-H). Second I trained as a patrol dog at dog school in Wiesbaden, Germany. His name was Falko (863-H). They had their numbers tattooed inside their ear. Do they do that with yours?
