After listening to local weather forecast which warned of icy patches and low temperatures I decided that discretion was the better part of valour.

I was just not worth the risk.

Instead I took the car out for a drive to visit to my Grandads grave - temp gauge was varying between 1.5 and o degrees so probably a wise move not to take the bike.

Dropping in on Grandad reminded me that it would have been my Dads birthday - he would have been 96 today, lit the usual candle in the garden for him when it got dark.

Sometimes wonder what he would have made of all this madness.
