As I've said before, they'll never appeal to me in their current guise. I could buy a 2nd hand 125 for £1000 and be able to get to Scotland or the continent much quicker than I could in a £40,000 electric car.

However, Toyota claim to be only a couple of years away from a mass produced car powered by solid state batteries. If that is true, and they can get the price somewhere near an ICE car, then it could be a game changer. Even then though, there's still the tiny problem of generating and distributing the necessary electricity for all the chargers. Oh well.
