I wouldn't go quite so far as to say "Nothing matters, we could die any minute", but unlike many of my older relatives who make no plans and who insist on staying in their houses and driving their cars even when they are incapable of doing so ... I DO know that this won't last forever, so I don't live as if it will.

Do everything you can do, do the things you enjoy, but adjust as you go. My Mom was bad about that; she told people (including us) that she still loaded up and took her trash to the landfill every week, when in fact she hadn't done it in 5 years - we were doing it for her ....
