Same goes here for welders, machinists, and truck drivers. Some drivers are making over $100,000 a year; a lady we know that works for a local trucking company says that's it's very difficult to find people that can pass (and keep) their Commercial Driver's License certification. Most can't pass their drug tests, and the State is forging forward with completely legalizing dope. Legal or not, no trucking company can keep a stoned driver employed, they'd get sued out of existence. So wages are going up, and sober drivers have their pick of jobs, both local (home every night) and over-the-road (gone most of the week but much bigger money). Stoners are just hosed and moan about how hard life is.

One of my sons is a mechanical engineer, one is a commission salesman for tree services, and both of them are having their best years ever.

But I suppose that the kids paying a quarter of a million for 4 years for a Womyn's Gender Studies degree will keep on doing it, especially if they expect the government to bail out their debt with my tax money.

It's not hard to do it right, at least not by our standards.
