LJ was into old bikes as hard as he could go for a while, 8 years or so, he and Alison came over here and stayed at my house as a matter of fact and rode with us.

Then he got into "Second Life", the on-line thing and sort of dropped bikes, then he went full-boat into radio-control airplanes. I've lost touch now, I suppose they're still in Peterborough? No telling what he's into now.

LJ and Alison were both completely deaf, and had to depend on the bone-conduction and lip reading to hear anything. They made their way in the world very well, though, despite that obstacle ... the joke was that you had to be careful, if you were taking the piss out of him 200 feet away he could spot it and tell what you were saying ... !
