Right the driver is David Piper trying to get into the Ferrari he is struggling because he lost a leg as a double in the film LE Man's he was playing a part whereby there is a big crash and it happened he loosing a leg Steve McQueen who was making the film looked after him and paid top surgeons and he and David were great friends David drove the dangerous Porsche 917 at the LE Man's and was a well respected driver the Porsche in the pic was the winning LeMans car reaching speeds of 224 mph down the Mulsahnn straight and at the time the fastest racing car of all time.. The accident occurred in another car with the camera mounted on a frame in front of the driver this may have caused the accident as the aerodynamics and weight of the car were altered the accident footage was used in the opening sequence of the film...
