A total of 5 bike rallies

... one on the Norton to a campout in the mountains near Blowing Rock, NC (Windy's campground, Bryan will know it) with about 20 others

.... one on the Guzzi to "Willville Motorcycles Only" campground on the Blue Ridge Parkway (Official Rally was cancelled but we went anyway, had a great time), lots of good riding

.... two rallies in the mountains of Northern Virginia and in West Virginia, mostly Guzzis but a smattering of other brands, 25 or so of us riding and wrenching, sort of "camped" in a friend's shop, house, and yard. One of the ralliers brought an M4 machine gun and we went through 1000 rounds of .223.

.... spent two weeks at the beach with the grandchildren, sons, and daughters-in-law in a big beach house, Emerald Isle, North Carolina, had a great time

.... spent a week a the beach just me and Fay and the Triumph, one-bedroom beachfront cottage

.... and a week in the Virginia mountains at a 200-year-old cottage turned into a B&B, spent the days searching for my ancestors in old cemeteries, found a bunch of them.

Only thing we couldn't do was just take off in a random direction 1000 miles away, because you couldn't count on gas, lodging, and eateries being open ... but with a little pre-planning we got a lot of miles in, and a lot of family and friend time together.
