I was talking to a Telstra help line person about a password problem, and got passed to another person and another person who started to tell me that they were trying to catch hackers, he wanted me to go down to the nearest shop and buy four $500 gift cards and send them to an address in India. My money would be safe so he said. When the hackers try to withdraw the money they would catch them. Anyhow I cut him off and thought I`d check my bank account. He had taken $4,800 out. I rang the bank and they stopped it. Now my account is locked for 28 days while their scam team investigates. Now I find that someone is trying to change my Facebook password.
My computer screen went black and I could only see the curser moving around .
Now my Facebook account is locked.
Telstra is the main phone and communications company in Australia, so one should feel safe talking to their staff. Those days are gone.
