So, I advertised the parts on ebay, a german chap asks about them, I tell him what offer I'll take and that the cheapest shipping is £10.66. He then makes the offer and I accept. All going fine so far.
As its the EU, I need a customs form That needs a contents code. DPD have a code finder but then state they won't ship those parts. I look on the brexit website and for the same motorcycle gearbox parts, find a different code. DPD still say no but the parcels website says another shipper can take it for £35 without a code. I could lie about the contents but (a) EU customs are searching lorry cabs for ham sandwiches, so telling lies is high risk and (b) there isn't a code for antique metal sculpture items.
Just refunded the buyer and relisted the parts with UK only, not to the EU but ask me about the rest of the world.
I hate bureaucrats, if I have to deal with them, my google searches get a bit dark, but this has got silly.
