Latest Motorad magazine report said it was an electrical fault that started it & that it was reported and initially fought by employees living on site. Wooden building & high winds caused it to rapidly expand - remote location and 4am didn't help getting the fire brigade there quickly enough to reduce the extent of the damage.

Apparently a few bikes were saved & the owners intend to rebuild.

It was on my list of bike museums to visit - we were at the top of the Timmelsjoch Pass on holiday a couple of years ago, but from the Italian side and U-turned at the top pay station. Going through the pay station into Austria meant a long return journey to where we we staying at Vipiteno / Sterzing. Long wait to visit now.
