Ive just finished reading the Velo OC extract from Phil Irving's autobiography. As a young Aussie in Birmingham he found the dialect quite challenging.
He used an example when asking for for some parts. The operative told him Ah 'ers wer all med las wik' (Yes, they were all made last week).
