modern Barbour Trialsmaster coat?

I like the looks of them, I want a long coat when riding, I'm tired of my short jackets getting hung up on my belt accessories, I like lots of pockets.

You would think that, given their purpose, their long history of use (I can watch videos of trials and commuters from 60 years ago that are wearing the things), and the environment for which they were developed, that they would be no-fooling-around waterproof.

When I bought my Aerostich Gore-Tex gear, ... now THAT'S no-fooling-around waterproof. How are the Barbour jackets against water soak-through and incursion?
