Its a funny system that after paying tax all your working life, they give you a small amount to feed yourself and then, if you have threepence left over, they want it back. My tax is only about 150 pound a month. My private pension is linked to the retail price index so i predict no rise during this pandemic as prices are actually falling a little.
Just glad i planned for retirement and saved a bit along the way.
My elder brother might have done it a better way by buying a motorhome and spending all his money, then claimed pension credits to run it. Funeral, they played fools and horses song.
