I agree it is a sad state of affairs, no doubt that NHS workers have literally put their lives on the line.

1% is an insult, but having said that there are I am sure many others who will not be receiving a pay rise this year, me included as CV19 has pretty much screwed the company finances.

Having said this, the NHS should be a special case, and if not prepared to give them a raise then the Govt should have looked at a 1 off payment or something similar.

As I think Geoff says further down re the 10k fine - people know the rules and if they are not enforced they are not really a deterrent, the cops are only enforcing the law.
