Looking at this, what a different society we lived in then.
These guys, about whom the newspapers were hollering about "Hooligans" and "Thugs" were the clean-cut-boys-next-door compared to the actual hooligans and thugs we have infesting our cities these days.
Some of those leather jackets were really nice, would take $1000 to buy one these days. I notice that on the advert page, that a nice-looking jacket cost about 12 pounds.
What would it have taken for a young feller with a typical young-feller job in say 1960 to get 12 quid together in one place?
