Looking at the new breed of turbo 1300cc cars producing 160 bhp, i think engine life might be short.
My next car will be a hybrid petrol i expect but only done 800 miles in the Volvo so far.
I prefer diesel and have had new diesel cars since 1996. Most economical was the Volvo V40 at around 64mpg generally on journies. The car with lowest CO2 was the 2 litre 165 BHP Vauxhall. A car that would just reach 140 mph.
I found the 1300cc cars too noisy and buzzy so opted for a 200 bhp 2 litre petrol as it became obvious there is no intention to keep the air clean now. The idea is to make gas guzzling cars so more tax can be collected.
