autel UK say that all uk autel goods should have "UK Support Tag and E.U. Support card."
so when seeley suggested i send unit back for exchange , I asked them if the replacement unit would have the UK Support Tag and E.U. Support card. , a simple question I thought , that in itself would resolve any chance of mt having been sent "rouge unit"
however the replies were several , one was "I am not fully aware of the agreements in place regarding the product, but they are not from Autel in UK or EU, but from Autel in the far east. As such will not be supported by Autel in the UK."
ie they are not unit destined to be imported by autel UK
so the only support is from seeley , who at the first sign of needing tech support (computer prog not seeing device)simply replying "Having discussed this further this end it seems like the only advice we can give is for you to get in touch with the stockist you purchased it from in order to make arrangements to get the unit swopped over.
As the device cannot be found when linking to the PC there is nothing further we can advise."
ok so there is no uk support , it is only supported by company that imported them from china bypassing uk distributor
look at another model , again with basily no support or spares backup
£275 if you would like a vat recept from sealey ,, and non existant back up or spares
or you can go to the many sellers on ebay and aliexpress , here is a chinease dealer with uk vat number and UK stock
the price is clearly shown £78.33 + uk vat = £94.00 exact
support your local dealer ?? why this one is clearly importing and bypassing uk dealer and support offered , and then adding 100+ % markup
