I hope that's satire! Given lithium mines, lack of fueling infrastructure, lack of demand, etc., the "save the planet" gig morphed into the "follow the subsidies" wheeze, the "Virtue Signalling" thing, and the "Cool Kids" track.

It's all just "follow the money" and "get more control". Hope it dies a quicker death than I think it will ....
