A country store and grill was having a fundraiser for a 10-year-old girl that had had some sort of bad spinal infection that had paralyzed her for years (they thought it might be for always). But she's gradually gotten better and was walking (albeit slowly) around the parking lot talking to folks.
A big fish fry and a raffle raised quite a bit of money toward the medical bills; a couple more of these things and they'll be paid off. There was a group of "Harley Guys" there in full regalia - chaps, vests, jackets, chains, patches, do-rags, conchos, studs, engineer boots ... I don't see how they move around in all that stuff. It was about 50 degrees so I was in a leather jacket and heavy gloves, but didn't want all THAT load to shuffle around in!
Headed home, the Norton was running great, the back roads were a lot of fun ... same roads I used to ride 50 years ago and some of them haven't changed a bit although a few have. A nice day out overall.
