All that about overheads etc is frankly just nonsense. the brewery makes plenty of money to cover the overheads etc, that is the business they are in. You doubt me Hampy? Remember it is the same breweries that sell to Aldi at such a price that they can sell it for the low price and still make a profit, and yes they have overheads to consider as well.
If you are paying £4.20 a pint in your pub Jerry then perhaps I should come and drink there. LOL. In fact at that price i would not complain as it is almost as cheap as ours used to be.
I shall for some time now drink at home, at least I don't have to wear thermals and arctic clothing as I can simply turn the thermostat up on the central heating. As for paying that price just to talk in a pub, I laugh at the suggestion.
