There's a local rider round my way nicknamed The Deerhunter 'coz he's hit deer several times, luckily he's survived these encounters & with little damage to his bike. Deer were not so lucky.
We also have to contend with wild boar which are extremely solid, and of course sheep on the unfenced roads.
At least the sheep are used to traffic and generally don't panic & run across the roads but it is a little alarming when they nonchalantly sunbathe on the tarmac with complete indifference to traffic passing only a foot or two away.
On a different scale of mammal this morning I chased a hare along the road = first one I've seen in about a decade. According to the bike's speedo it was doing about 35mph.
