I read in the news that a British warship had shots fired across its bow by the Russians who say it was too close to Crimea.
I mean, damn. Kipling wrote about that sort of thing 140 years ago. Russian 60-pounder coastal defense artillery lobbing shots at British ironclads in the Black Sea to establish their "territory" as the British made sure they didn't try for India or something.
Nothing ever changes. And it's not just a gig at the Brits, every former imperial power does it ...
